Misamis University Medical Center (MUMC) Certified By Philhealth as Center Of Safety
Misamis University Medical Center (MUMC) is certified as Center of Safety after successfully passing the PhilHealth Benchbook Survey conducted last September 2010. This is a distinction brought about by the management commitment for quality and the personnel’s dedication to help achieve the organization’s vision, mission and objectives.
PhilHealth Insurance Corporation (PHIC) has been conducting Benchbook Survey to all its member health organizations before the license to operate is issued. Primary, secondary and tertiary hospitals are required to work on their management system. This is in compliance to certain requirements in order to qualify as center of safety, center of quality or center of excellence.
This achievement has encouraged the MUMC administration to work on a higher accreditation level. Medical Director Dr. Karen Belina De Leon remarked “if we passed the center of safety then we could make it for the center of quality”. This is a challenge posed to all MUMC personnel to continue working efficiently and effectively thereby increasing the level of satisfaction of stakeholders and the Center of Quality will just be a bonus eventually.
Congratulations to Misamis University Medical Center (MUMC), go ahead Aim High and Achieve EXCELLENCE!
