Student Affairs Office

The Student Affairs Office is an integral part of Misamis University organizational structure created and envisioned to complement the mission of the university by giving services to the students in terms of co-curricular support services within the context of developing a total man. The focus of development extends beyond the limits of the academic sphere. The development also evolves within the social, spiritual and moral values of a man.

The Student Affairs Office helps the University administration in the achievement of its main educational objective – that of helping the moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic and social capabilities of the students. It serves as the official medium of communication between the university authorities and the student body of matters concerning student development, welfare, activities and discipline.

It is responsible for the proper coordination and supervision of the activities of duly recognized student organizations in cooperation with the Central Student Council.

It supervises discipline through the enhancement of certain attitudes, values, and behavior patterns which contribute to the productive and harmonious program of the university and society in general.

It conducts training programs in its aim of producing student leaders who will be involved in the development of the whole student body into dynamic individuals.

It observes student’s behavior and investigates all reported cases of misbehavior, ascertains all facts and imposes the appropriate sanction for minor infractions of the rules in accordance with the provisions set by the Board of Discipline.
