Foreign Student Admission Initiative Underway at Misamis University
The Bureau of Immigration Central Office in Quezon City, through the District Office in Cagayan de Oro City and led by Immigration Assistant Mrs. Sahara Maunting Gunting, conducted a facility inspection at Misamis University on Monday, February 16, 2026. The inspection was part of MU’s application for Bureau accreditation, which would allow the university to accept foreign students.
During the visit, campus facilities, student services, and administrative procedures were assessed to ensure compliance with immigration laws and national standards.
The inspection marks a defining step in the University’s goal to offer academic programs beyond the Philippines borders. This initiative strengthens the University’s internationalization and fosters a more global and diverse academic environment.
