26Misamis University and IRELAR Allied Ventures Strengthen Industry Engagement Through Dental Lecture and Product Presentation
Misamis University, through the Office of Linkages and International Affairs and the College of Dentistry, strengthened its partnership with IRELAR Allied Ventures through the signing and implementation of a collaborative agreement that supports academic and industry engagement in dental education. The partnership provides opportunities for the University to connect its academic programs with industry professionals and expose students and faculty members to current products, practices and developments relevant to the dental profession.
As part of the partnership, Misamis University conducted the AMARRIJJE IRELAR Lecture and Product Presentation, an activity designed to strengthen the connection between academic learning and professional dental practice. The event provided participants with opportunities to gain knowledge about dental products, industry practices and their applications in the field of dentistry.
The activity aimed to enhance students' and faculty members' understanding of developments in dental procedural operations and authentic dental products. It also sought to provide students with industry based learning experiences and opportunities to interact directly with dental practitioners, allowing them to gain perspectives that complement their academic preparation.
The lecture and product presentation was held on August 14, 2026, at the University Function Hall of Misamis University. The activity was attended by faculty members and students of the College of Dentistry, providing participants with an opportunity to engage in discussions related to their field of study and future professional practice.
The activity featured Dr. Arnold A. Azzaraga, President of IRELAR Allied Ventures, who served as the resource speaker and led the dental lecture and product presentation. The program also highlighted the collaboration between Misamis University and IRELAR Allied Ventures through the documentation of the Memorandum of Agreement and Project Implementation, establishing a framework for continued academic and industry engagement.
Participants actively engaged with the resource speaker during the lecture and product presentation. An interactive question and answer session allowed students and faculty members to raise questions, seek clarification and exchange insights about the products and practices discussed. The direct interaction with the industry resource person provided participants with opportunities to connect their classroom learning with actual developments and applications in professional dental practice.
The exchange also encouraged students to become more familiar with the role of industry knowledge in their future careers as dental professionals. Through the presentation and discussion, participants were able to gain additional perspectives that complement their academic training and strengthen their understanding of the professional environment.
The AMARRIJJE IRELAR Lecture and Product Presentation contributes to SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure by strengthening collaboration between Misamis University and an industry partner and by providing students and faculty members with opportunities to engage with developments in dental products and professional practices. The activity creates a connection between academic education and industry knowledge, supporting the exchange of information and exposure to innovations relevant to the dental profession.
Through its collaboration with IRELAR Allied Ventures, Misamis University continues to create opportunities for industry engagement that enhance academic learning and provide students with relevant professional exposure.
